These are unprecedented times. The arrival of COVID-19 is the most significant health emergency we have witnessed as a seniors health and care provider. Concerns are highly weighted towards the elderly so our continued focus is on prevention. We have heightened cleaning procedures, limited Village access to one point of entry, implemented robust screening protocols and commencing today we will be following the direction of provincial health authorities and limiting visitation to essential visitors only. We understand the difficulty of staying away from loved ones, our main focus is to safeguard our residents and the staff that care for them. It is critical we work together to protect our most vulnerable loved ones.
Our executive, clinical and management teams are meeting daily and we are in constant communication with our health authority partners. We are committed to keeping you updated and have opened a special link on our goldenlife.ca website for you and your family to get the latest updates from our teams. In addition, we have opened a dedicated email, covid19@glm.ca, and starting March 18th will open a toll free phone line (866) 466-0852, to expand our lines of communication.
