To all residents and families,
The holiday season is upon us as we are preparing our Villages in every way we can to make them festive and bright. We know this year will not be like any other, and we want to make the most of the season while adhering to the highest safety protocols.
If you can contribute one thing to our Villages this holiday season, we request that it is this, find a unique way to celebrate without gathering. Visit virtually, connect over the phone, send online greetings, and if your loved one does not have a tablet, please book one of the Village tablets for your virtual visit by contacting the front desk in advance.
It is so important that we all adhere to the provincial restrictions so that 2021 begins safely. You can find the most recent resident handbook here which details all measures and protections Golden Life is taking to keep everyone safe.
Although these holidays will look different, we are very much committed to quality of life through this season, we will still be conducting internal dinners and events including a Christmas Dinner and our annual tradition of our Residents’ Candlelight Dinner.
We also want to be sure that all residents can receive gifts from their families, but want to ensure that these gifts do not bring with them risk from an outside source. We will be sanitizing all gifts dropped at the Village entryway for delivery. All gifts must be delivered by end of day Monday, December 21st to guarantee proper sanitization and delivery.
We thank you all for helping us make this holiday safe and memorable. From our family to yours, we wish you the very best this holiday season.
Sincerely,
Julius van Wyk
Chief Operating Officer
